The Metodist Church Fund Raiser

It’s 5:46 in the morning, I just couldn’t sleep although I went to bed late. I woke up thinking about the show we had last night. It was a packed house, we had to bring chairs up and put them in the isles for people to sit in. We sold out the day before and still had some people come to the doors for a seat. Margie LeBlanc and Dave Purcell gave them their moneys worth and the pies were all delicious. The sound was (by all indication) as good as any that the people had ever heard. We had the church cooled down to 69 degrees and the air conditioners were straining to keep up but we made it through the show with out any complaints. All in all I’d have to say it was a roaring success and I was very proud to be a part of it. Maybe next year we can have it in a larger place and not have to use the church. Thanks to all the women and men who helped to put on the show and bake the pies and sell tickets move furniture set up the sound and clean up after the show and all the hundred and one things that have to done to get it off the ground. I hope we can do it again……
