I’m not sure but I think that The Stranger Creek Band is the first (and as far as I know) the only band that has a regular gig at a Burger King. Yes I said B-u-r-g-e-r K-i-n-g you know the “have it your way” restaurant. It’s located at 95th and Quivira in Overland Park KS. We play there every Tue. night 6:30 till 9:00 PM. No cover charge come as you are and have a Burger and fries with a Coke and listen to the music. The place fills up early so be aware of that. We never know who will drop by and set in for a few songs so it makes it a little exciting for everyone. Some of the better performers around town have dropped by to check it out and see if it’s true. Some to sing or play some just to listen. Believe it or not it’s going on five years since we started. The only pay we get is a donation in a basket some one brought and one of the ladies namely Mary Lou comes around to relieve you of your money. So if you are looking for something different to do on a Tue night come on out and see for your self. We play some old Country some new country some old standards some blues some blue grass and what ever we think we can do. So far they (Burger King) seem to be great sports about the whole thing………….
